Southeast Ohio is fortunate to have this wealth of national service members working in the region on a range of social enterprises. You can make a great impact on both your community and individual VISTA members by providing financial or in-kind support, or by becoming a sponsor of the Rural Action VISTA program.

Individual Donations

Donations to the VISTA program will support training and development opportunities for members throughout their year of service.

In-kind Donations

VISTA members receive financial support through the AmeriCorps program, but their stipends are modest (set at 105% of the rural poverty line). If you would like to thank these VISTA members for their service to the Appalachian Ohio region, you can support them in the following ways:

• Conduct training sessions
• Provide discounted or free rental housing
• Donate gift cards for groceries or fuel
• Provide discounts on other services or goods at local businesses (automotive repair, dental or vision care, etc.)
