Mission Statement:
To nourish the spirit of the community with the inspiration of the arts, and the recognition of its cultural heritage.

Through traditional music preservation, storytelling, oral history collection, creating community murals, poetry, drama, and community festivals, Rural Action uses arts and cultural heritage programming as a tool for revitalization in rural Appalachian Ohio communities.

While the end result is the preservation of our unique heritage and the creation of new, quality, works of art, these projects stimulate a process that includes building trusting relationships, crossing traditional boundaries, encouraging new, non-traditional leaders, and enlarging networks.
