DON'T INVITE PESTS TO YOUR CLASSROOM!

Are these areas clean and neat?
• lockers, cubbies, and student bins
• desks and counters
• storage cabinets
• recycling area
• pet cages and pet food storage area
• art supply storage
• sinks and below sink cabinets

Are all spills cleaned up promptly?

Can the custodian get into all nooks and crannies to clean regularly?

Have recycled cans been rinsed?

Are recycling and trash removed from classroom frequently?

Are foods and art supplies stored properly?
• In airtight containers
• Shelves cleaned frequently and shelf paper changed frequently
• Products used within three months

Have problems been reported?
• Spills that need extra attention
• Plumbing leaks
• Pest sightings or evidence of recent activity
