With the goal of becoming less dependent on grant funds, Rural
Action began to conduct feasibility work and begin implementation
of earned
income ventures. In addition, we continue to generate earned
income from consulting, training and services provided to
other organizations;
from workshops, conferences and publications; and from sales
of planting stock, mural postcards, t-shirts and other items.
In 2001, we generated
nearly $40,000 through these ventures.
